Epilepsy and CBD

Epilepsy affects at least 5.1 million people in the US. It can complicate and limit daily life, depending on frequency and severity of seizures. Typical treatments/drugs are expensive and usually create side effects. A common form of epilepsy occurs in our brain’s hippocampus. Some studies have shown that CBD protects cells in the hippocampus receptors. Amazingly, 71% of individuals in 11 studies showed significant reduction in seizures, after having tried other drugs. These studies also showed a marked improvement when patients used whole plant CBD, in contrast to a CBD isolate. The Cannabis plant is truly astounding!
